A6. Aims and objectives of the modelling programme

1. To gather supporting documentation and to give an overview of the state of the art in methods used to predict hydrogen dispersion during typical releases, parameters and effects of explosions and jet fires;
2. To refine key scenarios for modelling;
3. To carry out modelling and simulations of release scenarios to understand dispersion;
4. To carry out modelling and simulations of explosion scenarios to understand pressure effects;
5. To carry out modelling and simulations of fire scenarios to understand thermal effects;
6. To assist in experimental work and generalising experimental findings;
7. To use experimental data from the literature and/or WP5 for model and code validation and benchmarking;
8. To contribute to the overall advancement of modelling in the area of hydrogen safety.
