A6. Overview of WP6 Work
The following sections bring together and summarise the efforts and conclusions of the partners involved in HYPER WP4.
Within the modelling work package the following activities have been undertaken:
- Validation of models and simulations against experimental data on releases, fires and explosions;
- Pre-test modelling to assist experimental work;
- Model development and numerical simulations of WP5 experiments;
- Modelling and simulations of a wider range of relevant cases beyond those tested in WP5.
Partners have worked together wherever possible to perform complementary work in different scenarios. Unfortunately due to timing issues in WP5, not all of the data from WP5 was used by WP4 partners. Nonetheless, where necessary, data from the literature was used and the data generated in WP5 will be used for future model validation. The activities within WP4 have been divided into a number of scenarios. D4.3, the final modelling report [1], also included an overview of the state of the art relevant to the scenarios, these literature reviews and the work performed within WP4 have been used to shape the conclusions and recommendations for the IPG.
Conclusions relating to scenarios A to E are given in the following sections.
