4.7 Interconnectivity

Manufacturers of equipment intended to be connected to networks should construct such equipment in a way that prevents networks from suffering unacceptable degradation of service when used under normal operating conditions. National standards exist covering the connection of small scale generators to local power distribution networks e.g. in the U.K Technical Note G83/1-1 [52]. These standards address issues such as safety of network personnel and quality of exported power.
