3.1.4 Protection against mechanical hazards
The Machinery Directive requires the following aspects to be considered:- Risk of loss of stability;
- Risk of break-up during operation;
- Risks due to falling or ejected objects;
- Risks due to surfaces, edges or angles;
- Risks related to combined equipment;
- Risks related to variations in operating conditions;
- Risks related to moving parts;
- Choice of protection against risks arising from moving parts;
- Risks of uncontrolled movements.
